Some stuff I’ve been CREATING (I think we ALL should be doing this, it’s a good thing):
Nano-Fiction
This idea interested me quite a bit. I know most people use Twitter for this, but I don’t do that shit, so I’ve been using the “Notepad” on my phone. I really started last night, although the ideas been floating around my head for some time. The thought is to make a piece of fiction in 2-3 sentences. Maybe 4 tops. Obviously the reader’s gonna have to fill in a lot of the missing pieces, maybe that’s why I like the format. Anyways, here’s one from last night (hopefully I’ll start posting these regularly):
Decapispace
They arrived on a forested planet made of dried scalp for harvesting. Floating somewhere steadily through the emptiness, the Great Herald’s body was also exploited once found.
Music
I’ve been making beats for about 2 or 3 weeks straight, and I gotta take a break this week before this becomes a full on addiction. Good news is I did amass quite a few quality songs over that time. On my OTHER persona’s webpage I posted probably 4 new tracks or so (I think there’s 3 old one’s). This includes a track involving birds and cellos, some pretty odd Slipknot sampling, heaviness in “Glitchophone”, and a nylon guitar arpeggio type deal.
Non-Fiction
I’ve started work on a piece for Texture over at Weaponizer involving a certain Twin Cities independent record label and their rise to prominence in the age of 2000. I’ll be looking at this from a local’s POV: going to concerts now as oppose to back then, hearing [insert artist] for the first time in seventh grade from that one friend who smoked pot, watching it grow in front of my face. I’ll be linking to it. Look for it in weeks’ time.
Fiction
When I wrote my last piece I intended on following it up. This was the one about the veterans on the train (which was inspired by riding with veterans on the train). I haven’t started this but it’s on the list.
Another very recent piece of mine has been published on a website called Looking For Strange run by Emmy Jackson. She posted a challenge for the WhiteChapel community to craft a short story around a sentence she’d come up with. Apparently this was the second time she’d tried this. Mine was only the first to get published, there will be many more from very talented, crafty, out-of-their-minds writers (many of whom across the pond). Look into those. For now, here’s me:

Hey — good stuff here… I’ve enjoyed reading what you have to say.
